Faction Name: Olarian Sith Empire (Or New Olarian Sith, Olarian Empire, Olarian Sith...)
User-Created? Yes
Original Universe: Star Wars
Dominant Species: Humans/Olarians
Population Size: 3
Military Strength: 7
Technology Level: 5
Government Type: Dictatorship
Faction Strengths: Every single being from Olaria is Force-Sensitive; most of them are trained in the ways of the Dark Side of the Force.
Faction Weaknesses: The Olarian's shipyards are relatively new, so most of the fleet is composed of stolen corvettes and frigates, with only a few capital ships and the Velius, Darth Velius' flagship.
Faction History:
Olaria is an undiscovered planet in the Unknown Regions where a Sith Interdictor named the Sithara crashed during the Jedi Civil War. Olaria had immense jungle-covered plateaus all over the planet, and below them, a crimson-colored ocean. The natives, genetically compatible near-humans (who could all touch the Force to some degree) with a slight crimson tint to their skin, welcomed the Sith, seeing it as a fulfillment of an ancient prophecy. The Sithara was too badly damaged to repair, especially since the engineers and everybody else who would have known how to repair the ship had all died in the engine compartment during the crash, trying in vain to stop the ship's rapid descent into the atmosphere. The remaining Sith, seeing that they would not be getting off the planet anytime soon, turned the remains of the Sithara into a survival camp. After a few decades, when the Sith and the Olarians began to intermingle more, the Interdictor was made into a Temple, and the small village that had slowly grown around it begun to expand.
After thousands of years, the Olarians and the Sith had fully merged, becoming one fairly large technologically advanced society. They had created aircraft that could pierce the upper atmosphere of the planet, though they could not get into orbit, let alone into hyperspace. Several other Academies had been created, and the area around the Sithara had been stripped of the jungle and made into a city with several impressive skyscrapers and many other large buildings, most of which were made mostly of modern-looking metal and glass. Anyone with sufficient Force Sensitivity was sent to one of the Academies, and after years of training, they were sent into the jungle to search for semi-rare natural crystal formations growing in caves. These crystals are somehow affected by the crimson oceans, and are usually the same color, though rarely one will come upon a colorless or purple crystal. The crystals make for excellent lightsaber focusing crystals; When the Sith first began to use them, they found that the lightsabers burned brighter than their own, and cut through tough materials with ease.
The Olarian Sith, as they called themselves, eventually made a technolgical breakthrough, and were able to pierce the atmosphere of their planet, launching ships into orbit. Years later, they had hundreds of small craft that could go into orbit with sublight capabilities. Months after that, a scientist was able to repair the somehow still-functioning Sithara's computer, and they suddenly had access to all sorts of new technologies. They mass-produced things like blasters, armor, and sublight-equipped fighters. However, they could not find any materials needed to construct hyperdrives, until very recently.
Kelron Kerool, a young Sith Master at the time, who had shown more skill in spacecraft then any other Sith, was chosen for the test-flight of the first hyperdrive-equipped fighter, which had a design based on the old Sith Interceptor. As the entire planet watched, he launched into hyperspace...
Nearly a month later, everyone had assumed he was dead, that the hyperdrive was faulty and had launched him to his doom. Until he came back... In a much larger freighter. He came back bringing news of the outside world. Instead of finding a Sith Empire and being welcomed into open arms as all the Olarian Sith had dreamed of and hoped for, the Galaxy was ruled by the Republic and their Jedi protectors. And the Sith were simply sulking around the Outer Rim, attacking a planet here and there, but not actually attacking the Republic full-force, as they should. Velius, who also happened to be one of the strongest Force-Users from Olaria, and was an excellent tactician, declared himself Dark Lord of the Sith-- a title no Olarian had taken, assuming there was already a Dark Lord leading the Sith Empire-- and began organizing strike teams to be fitted aboard the new Freighter, who would go out into the galaxy and steal more ships and parts. Parts to repair the Sithara. He renamed the Olarian Sith into the New Olarian Sith Empire, or the Olarian Sith Empire, or simply the OSE. He did all this basically overnight. When the current Olarian Sith High Lord, the closet thing the Olarian Sith Order had to a Dark Lord, found out, he attacked Velius. Velius won, and nobody else has dared to try to take him down since.
After a year, the Sithara was completely repaired, and the OSE had assembled a small but powerful fleet. They had created an orbital shipyard facility, which churned out fighters and freighters based on the ancient designs taken from the Sithara. They even started building a massive dreadnought, which they named after their new leader, Velius. The OSE began attacking the 'False Sith' using hit-and-run tactics, absorbing any ships that wished to join the OSE--or killing unwilling crews and taking the ships anyways-- then take on the entire Republic.
However, when they attacked the Darkreaver fleet, led by a Sith Lord with similar goals, which they had mistaken for the False Sith, they were sucked into a black hole, bringing them to this Universe. Soon after, their homeplanet of Olaria was brought to the Universe, as well as (most of) the remaining Olarian Fleet.
