Instead of two chin-mounted L-s1 laser cannons that are found on the TIE/Ln Starfighter, the TIE Interceptor features two chin-mounted L-s9.3 laser cannons, which have additional cooling systems, preventing overheating, unlike the TIE/Ln's weapons. In addition, the Interceptor has four wingtip-mounted blaster cannons. Like the TIE/Ln, it has little armor, no shields, no hyperdrive, and no life support. Other Notes/Description: The TIE/D Defender is by far the most advanced TIE variant to date. It is much faster and more agile then any other TIE, and has powerful shields and a Class 2 hyperdrive. It was originally produced with four laser cannons and two ion cannons on the wingtips, however, the fighter's design was recently overhauled, and all six wingtips now have laser cannons, and the ion cannons have been moved to the chin-mounts. An extra missile launcher was added, and all three were put into the mountings for the solar array wings. Some Defenders are equipped with light tractor beams for more specific missions.

Other Notes/Description: The TIE Phantom is a very expensive and very rare TIE variant. It is very different from other TIEs, in that it can hold two people, one pilot and one gunner, more cargo then most TIEs, has shields, a hyperdrive, tougher-than-normal armor, and life support systems. But the most important part of the Phantom is its stygium cloaking device, which renders it invisible to the naked eye as well as the most sophisticated sensors. It does have a few drawbacks. The shield cannot be run while the cloaking device is active, and it is only just as fast and slightly less manuverable then a standard TIE Fighter. To prevent enemies from capturing and reverse engineering the cloaking device, it is equipped with a self-destruct mechanism.

Though the sublight engines are just as fast as a normal TIE, it is slightly less manuverable. The bomb bay and missile launchers are gone, replaced by two small passenger compartments, enough to hold twelve stormtroopers and a small amount of equipment. It is not very manuverable or fast, but is heavily armored and shielded. Unlike most other TIEs, it has life support systems and landing gear. It has no weapons, requiring an escort at all times. It is designed to shuttle boarding parties to ships where a Gamma-class shuttle would be overkill. If the ship it needs to board does not have a hangar, it has heavy-duty cutting tools to cut through the hull, providing an entry point for the boarding party.

Other Notes/Description: The TIE Actis design was actually based off an ugly starfighter (a starfighter compiled of mismatched parts from various ships) composed of a TIE 'ball' cockpit and the body of an ETA-Actis 2 Light Interceptor. After seeing the effectiveness of the Twin Ion Engine system combined with the old Jedi Interceptors, The Empire had Sienar Fleet Systems build them their own varient: The TIE Actis. The TIE Actis relies heavily on its speed and manuverability, having barely any armor and no shielding. Like the ETA-2, it has minimal life support systems and no hyperdrive. It requires a hyperdrive ring or a carrier ship to be moved around the galaxy. The TIE Actis is the most fast and manuverable TIE to date, even more so then the TIE Defender. However, it cannot have both advantages at the same time; it is most manuverable--especially in atmosphere-- with its wings extended, and it is fastest with them folded. These TIEs are usually only employed by Force-Users employed by the Empire.

Instead of two chin-mounted L-s1 laser cannons that are found on the TIE/Ln Starfighter, the TIE Interceptor features two chin-mounted L-s9.3 laser cannons, which have additional cooling systems, preventing overheating, unlike the TIE/Ln's weapons. It was originally produced with four laser cannons and two ion cannons on the wingtips, however, the fighter's design was recently overhauled, and all six wingtips now have laser cannons, and the ion cannons have been moved to the chin-mounts. Other Notes/Description: The TIE Phantom is a very expensive and very rare TIE variant. It is very different from other TIEs, in that it can hold two people, one pilot and one gunner, more cargo then most TIEs, has shields, a hyperdrive, tougher-than-normal armor, and life support systems. But the most important part of the Phantom is its stygium cloaking device, which renders it invisible to the naked eye as well as the most sophisticated sensors. It does have a few drawbacks. The shield cannot be run while the cloaking device is active, and it is only just as fast and slightly less manuverable then a standard TIE Fighter. To prevent enemies from capturing and reverse engineering the cloaking device, it is equipped with a self-destruct mechanism.

The bomb bay and missile launchers are gone, replaced by two small passenger compartments, enough to hold twelve stormtroopers and a small amount of equipment. It is not very manuverable or fast, but is heavily armored and shielded. Unlike most other TIEs, it has life support systems and landing gear. It has no weapons, requiring an escort at all times. It is designed to shuttle boarding parties to ships where a Gamma-class shuttle would be overkill. If the ship it needs to board does not have a hangar, it has heavy-duty cutting tools to cut through the hull, providing an entry point for the boarding party.

Other Notes/Description: The TIE Actis design was actually based off an ugly starfighter (a starfighter compiled of mismatched parts from various ships) composed of a TIE 'ball' cockpit and the body of an ETA-Actis 2 Light Interceptor. After seeing the effectiveness of the Twin Ion Engine system combined with the old Jedi Interceptors, The Empire had Sienar Fleet Systems build them their own varient: The TIE Actis. The TIE Actis relies heavily on its speed and manuverability, having barely any armor and no shielding. Like the ETA-2, it has minimal life support systems and no hyperdrive. It requires a hyperdrive ring or a carrier ship to be moved around the galaxy. The TIE Actis is the most fast and manuverable TIE to date, even more so then the TIE Defender. However, it cannot have both advantages at the same time; it is most manuverable--especially in atmosphere-- with its wings extended, and it is fastest with them folded. These TIEs are usually only employed by Force-Users employed by the Empire.
